# Spring 2026 Illinois Presidents Cup. ***Like the State Cup, the Illinois Presidents Cup offers teams a statewide championship tournament that earns advancement into a US Youth Soccer Regional event which hopefully advances them to the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup. To compare, the State Cup is the UEFA Champions League and the Presidents Cup is the Europa League. The Presidents Cup follows the same format as the State Cup, Group Play to Quarterfinals to Semifinals to Finals and although its second in the pyramid of state championship events, this is no second-rate tournament. Illinois holds one of the largest Presidents Cup events and since US Youth Soccer launched the Presidents Cup in 2009, Illinois teams have proven to be a force to be reckoned with;* winning 59 Midwest Presidents Cup titles and 26 National Presidents Cup championships**. The 12U Presidents Cup Champions do NOT advance to the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup Great Lakes Qualifier.
